tdy i watched two soccer matches straight at jalan besar. whatever spelling. rj vs tj. sa vs vj. former two schools won 1-nil. sa and vj are good man. they deserve to be in e finals. rj is good too. their coach is cool. i particularly noticed that e vj players can really run man. sprint. then i noticed that e sa can too.being on par w vj. and both schs' stamina are fabulous. running is a pure stamina mind game. i felt so loser. i can run. so can e soccer players. but they can kick balls too. but thinking abt it, xcountry requires skills too. mental skills; if it counts=p while other sports give people e opportunity to display their skills externally, xcountry runners have to do it interally. fighting against fatigue and your worst enemy, negative thoughts. i'm shivering just thinking about it. say in like tennis. your strategy is to hit power shots back; to whack like mad. if you're tired, you.idontknow.can do a slice and change e direction of your ball then your opponent has to run more. but in xcountry.if you're tired, you.ireallyreallyreallydontknow.can (actually you must) push harder.you cant change your strategy of the game. or maybe you can; slice and dispose off all negative thoughts and PMA. (mr ng's positive mind attitude)
not easy man. doing a slice .in the tennis court.is so cool. cos i cannot do it.not that iv'e tried. but fighting against your mind not as visible.except maybe for e excruciating look on your face.
whoa when an sa and vj person ran after a ball, they look so pro. both teams are so fast and swift man. I AM GOING TO ANFIELD ONE DAY TO WATCH A LIVERPOOL MATCH. I DONT CAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
why are raffles people mostly man u fans.
i still feel v cheated. few weeks back, i found out clarissa my dear friend is a manu fan. and all along, since last yr nov, i thought she was a liverpool fan. she always sounded so excited when i talked abt liverpool matches.(one was particularly agnst manu) it just didnt occur to me she supported manu!? sigh. e dark side.
tdy. I CHEERED FOR RAFFLES. as in.saying out loud the word 'raffles' and really cheering. i said 'raffles ichiban!' actually i dont know what it means .ohwells. i cheered for raffles! then i went home with shuxiang. we were initially lost. but shuxiang, and her smart sgporean instincts, said to follow e two girls in front of us. follow we did, and we saw e mrt. yay :)
prison break kept me off my seat ytd night. champions league kept me slamming e chair. tdy's match kept me at e edge of my chair for most part of e game. rjxcountry capt interview kept me totally slumped in my chair.
(i dont know if this is allowed)
"If you perform below your potential and B beats you, then the idea is, of course B won., I'm not going all out, that's not the real me, I could win if I wanted to. You're choosing that path rather than performing your best, winning, and being counted on to win. Because if you're counted to win, and dont, that's a worse fate, and you'll feel more hurt, more of a sense of loss. In other words, you imagine more risk in working your ass off than not working your ass off. You're not the first athlete to confront this."

other than e winning part, i feel like that sometimes. acutally more often than not. he accounts it to low confidence in self(it was a huge prob last time).and after a while, he actually got pissed at me.for not doing to what he perceived my potential to be. smth like what steve prefontaine said 'giving less than your best is to sacrifce your gift.' smth like that. i'm hoping to run like how i ran in 06' x natls. i want to regain that fitness back.that passion i had for running.that love and how i embraced pain. 11 more mths.
'I hunger for You desperately.'
i confess i've not been living by that. sorry. can You help me?and remind me?please.
